Exederm Flare Control Review

Exederm Flare Control is a fast-acting eczema relief cream. Flare Control soothes red and itchy skin almost instantly. This cream was designed as a temporary fix for eczema flare-ups and was actually the first hydrocortisone product to get a ‘Seal of Approval’ from the National Eczema Association.

How Exederm Flare Control Works

The active ingredient in Exederm Flare Control is 1% hydrocortisone. Hydrocortisone is an anti-inflammatory agent that eliminates red skin and alleviates itching. The base formula for Flare Control blends several moisturizers including capric triglyceride and glycerin alongside a solid cleansing agent like ceteareth-20. Flare Control offers quick and fast relief for eczema flare-ups.

Other ingredients in the formula include caprylyl glycol, anthemis nobilis, citric acid, glyceryl stearate, palmitic acid, petrolatum, phenoxyethanol antimicrobial, stearic acid, and purified water.

Possible Dangers and Side Effects

Using Exederm Flare Control should be limited to three to four times a day. More importantly, Exederm Flare Control should not be used daily because hydrocortisone cannot be used for extended periods of time. Using hydrocortisone for an extended period of time can cause several side effects including anxiety, depression, hyperglycemia and more.

Conclusion on Exederm Flare Control

Exederm Flare Control can be beneficial for periodic relief from mild to moderate eczema. The cream reduces inflammation and eliminates itching and irritation. In fact, Exederm Flare Control is the only paraben-free hydrocortisone cream available in the US. However, you shouldn’t expect any long-term benefits from Exederm Flare Control.
